This is actually a surprisingly fun movie to watch. Right from the first few minutes you know exactly what kind of ride that you are about to embark on.

The acting in this was so bad I was rooting for the Monster. Lots of snappy dialogue and the car chase were probably the best parts

Really enjoyed it. Watusi girls, music by Frank Sinatra Jr., very mod ‘60s fashions and interiors, great surfing footage; a real time capsule. Very sincere.

I don't mind watching a dumb movie, but this was too much DUUUUUUUMB for me. I felt myself devolving by the second. Cute girls, though.

The first few scenes reminded me very strongly of those in The Horror of Party Beach (1964). Similar sorts of films. This was released in 1965 and is a bad murder mystery rather than a bad monster movie. The murderer was obvious to me when the character was introduced, but I read a lot of murder mysteries.

Acting and directing are adequate. It moves well most of the time. There are the usual continuity goofs. They're part of the fun in watching these sorts of films. I fast-forwarded through padded scenes. Video and audio quality are good.

Nice bit of nostalgia.

I recently met Read, and he is a great person. He and my mother were friends before he went to Hollywood. This movie was a hoot! Fun to watch someone you have met...

forget that it's an awful script. the shots of the coast and the great surf tune by Frank S Jr. is all I needed.. and that stepmom.. what a vixen!
